For this project I wanted to mix a combination of styles and passions that I really like. The main influence of the project was the Set Design/Level study that we completed earlier in the semester. For that project I created images of planets and galaxies in a manner similar to collages. I would also add effects and compile the image and the end result is very realistic and believable. Another artistic style I wanted to add was lighting; as a lighting designer I have enjoyed using light in artistic forms. It is for this reason that I wanted to use lighting in my final project.

Putting It All Together
Putting the final project together required me to take all my ideas and figure out a project that can incorporate all of them. In the end I ended up creating a very large, high resolution image in the same style as the set design study. To incorporate the lighting aspect I decided to exhibit it in a unique way. First I would need to print out the image on acetone/clear film, so that light can be passed through it. Then when it came time for the final exhibit it would be cut and pasted onto a window so that light from the outside can pass through the clear film and illuminate the image. As the daylight and weather changes so does the look of the image, creating a dynamic and ever changing exhibit. This final idea incorporated all of my ideas into a project that is dynamic and interesting.
