My name is Brent Campbell. I am a creative graphic designer with experience in web design, animation, photography, and user interface design and testing. I am particularly skilled with the Adobe Creative Suite, Autodesk Maya, and other design programs. Beyond my skills in graphic design I also have experience in technical theater particularly in lighting design and stage work. I have also worked in the EMS field as a medic and volunteer as an EMT/Firefighter with my local fire department.
Originally employed as an EMT-Basic I soon took classes to become a medic (Critical Care Technician) providing Advanced Life Support in the REMO region. I was also briefly a medic-supervisor before downsizing and restructuring within the company caused the position to no longer be available. In addition to my duties as a medic I have also helped design/redesign many of the company documents.
Volunteer in my off time as an EMT/Firefighter responding to a variety of emergencies. Also participate in ongoing training, drills, and general upkeep of the apparatus and station. Additionally I have helped as a graphic designer and photographer creating several projects/videos for the fire department.
Worked as an event lighting technician for various RPI events taking place on campus. The job entailed setting up various lighting rigs, depending on the needs of the client in differing venues, light design, and management of the event crew. Often times we would have to work very closely with the client and other UPAC entities in a very dynamic environment to meet their needs and wishes.
Worked as a theater technician for a professional performing arts center and was part of a small group of individuals that helped run the theater. Provided technical support to a variety of groups that utilized the performing arts center. I trained in all aspects of technical theater including stage crew (rigging/fly systems), sound equipment operation, and lighting. I was particularly well skilled in lighting and light design and held the title of master electrician becoming one of the "go-to" technicians when it came to the theater's lighting system. I was also lighting designer for many of the high school performances that utilized the theater.
